Terminal E is Logan's international terminal — British Airways, Lufthansa, Emirates, Qatar, Aer Lingus, and dozens of other carriers. There is no dedicated Terminal E parking available today: the former Terminal E surface lots are closed for construction of a new Terminal E Parking Garage, expected to open around 2028. In the meantime, international travelers use the Central Parking Garage (8–10 minute covered walk) or the Economy Parking Lot (free Route 88 shuttle).
Massport has closed the former Terminal E surface parking lots to make way for a new Terminal E Parking Garage, a roughly $450 million, ~4,000-space project that broke ground in early 2025 and is scheduled to open around 2028.
Until it opens, there is no dedicated Terminal E parking. International travelers flying from Terminal E should plan to park at the Central Parking Garage (covered Level 4 bridge to Terminal E, 8–10 minute walk) or the Economy Parking Lot with the free Route 88 shuttle.
Terminal E handles the bulk of Logan's international departures and almost all international arrivals, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection processing. Even passengers whose flights depart from Terminal C (Aer Lingus, Etihad, TAP) on certain routings typically clear customs at Terminal E on arrival. That makes Terminal E a high-traffic terminal for international travelers regardless of which carrier or gate they're using.
For parking, the practical choices today are the covered Central Parking Garage (8–10 minute walk via Level 4 bridge) or the Economy Parking Lot (free Route 88 shuttle, 15–25 minutes door-to-terminal). Central is the faster, weather-protected option; Economy is cheaper and better for longer international trips.
With the Terminal E surface lots closed through the new garage's completion, Massport's two main on-airport options are your practical choices. Both accept advance reservations at $29/day for a limited pool of spaces.
Best for short international trips, weather-sensitive days, and travelers with heavy or fragile luggage.
Best for longer international trips (7+ days) where the daily-rate savings compound. Plan for luggage handling on the shuttle.
Terminal E sits at the east end of the Logan terminal loop. From Central Parking, it's one of the longer walks — but still fully covered via the Level 4 pedestrian bridge. From Economy Parking, the Route 88 shuttle is the only connection; it drops at Terminal E's departure curb.
| From | To Terminal E | Time | Transit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Central Parking (Level 4) | Check-in Hall | 8–10 min | Covered pedestrian bridge |
| Terminal B Garage | Check-in Hall | 10–13 min | Pedestrian bridge via Central |
| Economy Parking Lot | Terminal E curb | 15–25 min | Free Route 88 shuttle (every 15–20 min) |
| Rental Car Center / MBTA | Terminal E curb | 10–15 min | Free Blue shuttle (every 5–6 min) |

The two lots available to Terminal E travelers today price separately. Central Parking caps at $46/day drive-up; Economy Parking caps at $37/day. Both offer advance reservations at $29/day for a limited pool of spaces — book early, especially around school-holiday and summer travel peaks.
| Lot | Daily Max (Drive-Up) | Advance Reservation | 7-Day Drive-Up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Central Parking Garage | $46.00 | $29.00 | $322.00 |
| Economy Parking Lot | $37.00 | $29.00 | $259.00 |

For a 1–4 day international trip, Central Parking on the $29 advance rate is the clear winner — heavy luggage is much easier on a covered walk than on a shuttle. For 7+ day trips, Economy at $29 advance ties on price but saves the walk time if you're on the drive-up rate. For 10+ day international trips, consider off-airport lots (which typically offer daily rates below on-airport Economy — confirm with the operator before booking) or a park-and-fly hotel package if you have a pre-flight overnight.
Terminal E is the home of most of Logan's long-haul international service. The roster changes seasonally as carriers rotate routes — this is a representative list, not a definitive one. Confirm with your airline before you drive.

International travel through Terminal E has a different rhythm from a domestic departure. Here's how to plan parking around it.
Most carriers at Terminal E close check-in 60 minutes before departure and bag-drop sometimes earlier. TSA lines and passport/document checks take longer than domestic. Plan to be at check-in three hours before departure, which means leaving your car at Central Parking about 3 hours 15 minutes ahead, or at Economy Parking about 3 hours 30 minutes ahead.
Coming home, Global Entry and Mobile Passport users can clear customs in minutes at Terminal E. That's a meaningful argument for Central Parking — once you've cleared customs, you can be back at your car in under 15 minutes total. With Economy, you'll still wait for the shuttle after customs.
Duty-free shops at Terminal E generally close near the last international departure of the night and reopen with the morning bank — exact hours shift with the flight schedule, so check signage in the terminal. Liquid duty-free purchased at a connection (with an STEB sealed bag) can come through Logan on arrival.
Economy Parking's Route 88 shuttle is a standard low-floor airport shuttle with a modest luggage area. International travelers with multiple large bags often find Central Parking worth the price difference — you roll your bags from car to check-in without lifting. If you're committing to Economy, travel with one carry-on and one checked bag per person for easier shuttle handling.
International travelers frequently stay at an airport-area hotel the night before a morning departure. Many Logan-area hotels bundle a room plus up to 14 days of parking plus shuttle service — often cheaper than a Central Parking stay of the same length. No. The former Terminal E surface parking lots are currently closed. Massport is building a new Terminal E Parking Garage, expected to open around 2028. The free Route 88 shuttle runs 24/7, every 15–20 minutes, between Economy Parking and every passenger terminal including Terminal E. Plan for 15–25 minutes door-to-terminal including shuttle wait. Rates are $37/day drive-up or $29/day advance.
